In a move to strengthen support for students ahead of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a Candidate Counselling Emergency Support Centre (CCESC).
The new support centre is aimed at addressing urgent concerns from candidates, especially those who require immediate assistance beyond the regular communication channels.
JAMB announced the initiative via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday. According to the statement, the emergency centre complements JAMB’s existing online ticketing system, which remains the board’s primary support platform.

“In addition to our usual and preferred ticketing platform for Candidates Support, JAMB has now opened a Candidate Counseling Emergency Support Centre (CCESC),” the board said.
Candidates and members of the public with genuine concerns can now speak directly with designated officials. The statement listed the support representatives as Gbenga, Yusuf, Dubem, Tony, Ogbonna, and Emma. They can be reached through the helpline: 0700-220-0016.
Despite the new support option, JAMB urged candidates to continue using the ticketing platform as their first line of communication. The board emphasized that the platform is “fast, easy to use, and guarantees a quick reply.”
